Real People. Real Stories. Told With Craft.
Documentary-style video production that finds the human story inside a business, a project or an industry — and tells it with the same care as a broadcast film crew.
About
We don't force stories into scripts — they come from the people and the place. Below The Rig took our crew 17 days beneath a live North Sea oil rig with DCN Diving's saturation diving teams, filming the launch of new subsea welding technology alongside the human reality of one of the most demanding jobs on the planet.
Whether the story lives in a boardroom, on a factory floor, or underwater, our approach stays the same: spend real time with real people, and let the film follow what's actually there rather than what we scripted in advance.
For more on the access, certification and safety side of working on live industrial and offshore sites, see our offshore & industrial video production page.
What’s included?
Short and long-form docs, interviews, voiceovers, offshore story capture, stakeholder narratives, internal culture pieces.

Case Study: 17 Days Beneath A Live Rig, Told As A Story — Not A Showreel.
Below The Rig follows DCN Diving's saturation diving teams as they launch the Micro Habitat, a new subsea welding technology, beneath a live North Sea oil rig. Rather than a product demo, we built the film around the people doing the work — the pressure, the isolation, the trust between a diving team 17 days into a live operation. It's the difference between showing what a company does and showing who they are while they do it.
I couldn't be happier with the work that Production Haus delivered. The creativity, attention to detail, and professionalism from the team have been outstanding. The offshore shoot was executed flawlessly, and the final product far exceeded my expectations.
- Used across updated pitch and tender decks
- Contributed to securing a major subsea project in Singapore for 2026
- Strengthened internal messaging and external brand positioning
- Opened ongoing discussions to document future DCN Diving projects

We Spend The Time It Takes To Find The Real Story.
Documentary work can't be rushed into a shot list. We start by spending real time with the people and the environment — on Below The Rig, that meant 17 days embedded with DCN Diving's team beneath a live oil rig, working within their safety and operational requirements as part of the operation, not an outside film crew getting in the way.
Immerse → we spend time understanding the story before we film a frame. Film → observational, interview-led coverage that captures what's actually happening. Edit → footage shaped into a narrative with pacing and structure, not just a sequence of clips. Deliver → a finished film built to be watched, not skimmed.

Documentary Formats Built Around Your Story.
Brand documentaries
Longer-form films that show the real people and process behind your business, not just the pitch.
Interview-led pieces
Structured around real conversations with the people who know the story best.
Embedded story capture
Days or weeks spent inside an operation, capturing what actually happens rather than staging it.
Stakeholder & internal culture films
Documentary-style pieces built for investors, teams or industry audiences who need the real story, not a highlight reel.
Documentary Video Production — Questions We Get Asked.
How involved do the people in the film need to be?
As involved as the story needs them to be. On Below The Rig that meant genuine access to DCN Diving's team during a live operation — real conversations and real moments, not staged interviews. We work with your team to find the right level of access for your story.
Do you work on sensitive or confidential projects?
Yes. Below The Rig involved commercially sensitive new subsea technology — we're used to working within NDAs and agreeing what can and can't be shared publicly before we film.
How long does a documentary project typically take?
It depends on the story. Below The Rig took 17 days on location; other projects need less. We'll scope the right length for your story and budget on an initial call.
What formats do we receive at the end?
Typically a longer-form documentary piece plus shorter cutdowns for social and web — all shaped from the same footage, formatted for how you'll actually use them.
Have A Story Worth Telling Properly?
Whether it's underwater, on a factory floor or in your boardroom, we'll spend the time it takes to find the real story and tell it with craft.
