Below The Rig is a documentary shot entirely offshore, following DCN Diving's saturation diving teams beneath a live oil rig in the North Sea over 17 days in September 2024. The film follows the launch of DCN's Micro Habitat — a new subsea welding technology designed to make underwater welding safer, faster and more efficient — combining offshore production with immersive, documentary-style storytelling.

How much disruption does filming cause to a live site?
Very little. We plan around your operational schedule before we arrive, work with a small, senior crew rather than a large production team, and follow your site's induction and RAMS process exactly as any other visitor or contractor would.
What safety and compliance processes do you follow on-site?
We complete your site induction and safety briefing before filming begins, follow your PPE and access requirements, and plan shot lists in advance so we're never working out how to get a shot while your team is trying to work.
