Hitachi — Induction Video Production

Hitachi Construction Machinery UK needed induction content that worked for two different audiences using the same site: general visitors and staff, and contractors carrying out work with additional risks. Rather than a single generic induction video, the brief called for two distinct films, each built around what that specific audience actually needs to know before they're on site.

The General Induction covers site access, parking, security, code of conduct, incident reporting, evacuation and first aid — the essentials for anyone visiting or working on site. The Contractor Induction goes further, covering risk assessments, permits to work, hot works, working at height, COSHH and waste management — the specific requirements contractors need that a general visitor doesn't.

Both films were built from a full shot-by-shot script and voiceover agreed directly with the Hitachi team before filming began, so nothing was left to interpretation on the day. The result is two separate, purpose-built induction films from a single production, each accurate, clear and genuinely reflective of how the site actually operates.
